UIP is a nonprofit organization founded in the year 2006 by the University of Primorska and Gea College - College for Entrepreneurship. Its activities and infrastructure encourages and promotes an entrepreneurial culture, and the establishment of new, knowledge-based, enterprise, especially among young people, students, researchers, scientists, innovators and other inhabitants of Primorska region – Obalno kraška region, Goriška i Notranjsko kraška statistical region. Among the many entrepreneurial ideas UIP stands up for innovative, knowledge-based and market-oriented ideas and process them through the incubation, provides complete support for the development of new ideas and the establishment of new enterprises with high added value. The main services are consulting, mentoring, entrepreneurship education, attract investors, counseling and assistance in writing business plans, joint promotions, etc. Together with the University of Primorska UIP works closely with industry: the organizer of the project, Coastal Enterprise, competition for the best business plan for coastal regions, and coordinates the development of innovative school project, implementing the project commercialization of knowledge and technology and research projects at the University of Primorska.
The company has 3 employees: managing director, adviser for marketing and PR and the adviser for projects and 3 external permanent consultants and about 10 external consultants in the counselor network.
